Thrifty Car and Van Rental has revealed some of the most unusual items left in vehicles during the holiday period, including the front end of a horse’s costume.
Other festive finds so far have included a thawed-out frozen turkey and a cardboard cut-out Santa.
It also seems that some people will be missing out on Christmas presents this year, as one absent-minded renter left a pair of diamond earrings in the glovebox of the car, while another forgot to take their brand new X-box from the boot.
Linda Paul from Thrifty Car and Van Rental said: “We normally have a few forgetful customers throughout the year, but this always increases at Christmas as everyone just has so much to remember. The horse’s head was certainly an amusing find, and not something that has been left in a Thrifty car before.
“Thrifty Car and Van Rental ensures all items are booked into lost property and we always try to locate the rightful owner. If anyone is worried they have forgotten something in a Thrifty car over the Christmas period, just give us a call and we will be happy to help.”
