Seat UK is adding experience and expertise to its management team with the appointment of Chris Stevens as its new head of marketing.
Stevens, 35, joins the buoyant Spanish brand from fellow Volkswagen Group member Škoda, where he was previously head of planning in the UK.
Stevens said: ‘This is a great time to be joining SEAT, with so much success already achieved and so many exciting new products just around the corner.
‘The recent announcement of the new SEAT Mii, for instance, will return SEAT to a sector where it achieved great things in the past. This smart new little car will, I’m sure, make a big impression and I’m very much looking forward to seeing it here soon.’
He added: ‘SEAT is a genuinely exciting, charismatic car brand with a recent history of great design and sporty performance. When the opportunity to join presented itself, I didn’t need to think twice.’
Prior to his position at Škoda, Stevens spent time in other Volkswagen Group brands including four years as a product marketing manager with Volkswagen Passenger Cars.
Welcoming him to the SEAT brand Peter Wyhinny, managing director of SEAT UK, said: ‘Chris is a very strong addition to our management team here in the UK.
‘Our UK sales performance so far this year speaks for itself but, with so many important and exciting new developments on the way, Chris will have a great deal of exciting and challenging work ahead of him.’
