MyCarCheck.com recently donated £30,000 to the Camphill Blair Drummond Appeal, which led to an unexpected invite to 10 Downing St.

Roger Powell, divisional head at CDL Vehicle Information Services Ltd (which owns MyCarCheck.com), commented: "With our business growing at the rate it is, it is good to take a step back to ensure we help others less fortunate than ourselves. I don’t know how No.10 got to hear about it, but my wife Eileen and I received a personal invitation from Samantha Cameron.

“Getting to visit No.10 and walk through that famous black door was a great honour, an amazing experience for me personally, and it reflects well on all the MyCarCheck.com staff at Stockport and Glasgow who made our donation possible. My daughter has learning difficulties and she receives incredible support from Camphill Blair Drummond. We are privileged to be able to help them.

“Mrs Cameron obviously has an understanding of these issues and we were particularly lucky as the Prime Minister himself took a few moments out of his busy schedule to meet us. While I would have liked to draw his attention to some of the issues facing the motor industry, it was not the right time.”

Jason Glass, director of operations at Camphill Blair Drummond, added: “We were delighted when Samantha Cameron offered to host this reception for us. We are part-way through a capital development project which will secure the future of our unique residential community. We are extremely grateful to MyCarCheck.com for their ongoing support, which has enabled us to make significant progress during this early stage in our Appeal.”
