QBE, the business insurance specialist, has launched a new e-learning training programme for its clients.

It is designed for experienced drivers in motor fleets, such as company car or lorry drivers, to sharpen their knowledge and awareness of the road.

The course focuses on areas such as hazard perception, observation, use of hands free sets and overtaking and QBE will be partnering with online fleet risk assessment specialists, E-Training World, to deliver the programme.

Matthew Crane, managing director motor at QBE, said: “E-learning is a highly effective tool for fleet managers, as it delivers a consistent quality of training to a diverse and often geographically spread group of drivers.

“QBE’s innovative initiative will help maintain a strong focus and awareness of road safety amongst whole fleets of drivers. All drivers can benefit from additional road safety training and this learning system is a convenient and effective way to enhance those skills.”

Graham Hurdle, managing director at E-Training World, added: "We're delighted to be partnering with QBE and that our system best meets their needs. We look forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship with them."
