Wakefield-based finance company J & R Naylor has just completed an order that will add 153 Vauxhall vehicles to its 250-strong fleet.
The new additions, which started arriving at the company's head office this month, comprise a range of different models, many of them efficient ecoFLEX derivatives.
"This is a significant order for us," said Shaun Tranter, of J & R Naylor. "We wanted to be certain that our new vehicles would accommodate the different needs of the staff that will be using them. The Vauxhall team offered us a great selection of products all of which achieved low CO2 emissions without compromising performance for the driver."
J & R Naylor, a family-run business established over 30 years ago, provides loans and short-term underwriting facilities to customers, as well as operating home collections.
The company, which employs around 250 people, will allocate the vehicles to its team of home collection agents, managers, sales and audit staff.
The majority of the order will comprise Vauxhall's popular Astra and Insignia models, but will also include the Corsa and Meriva.
The bulk of the British-built Astras ordered were 1.7CDTi 110PS models, which have CO2 emissions of just 119g/km. The Insignias were mainly 2.0CDTi 160PS ecoFLEXs, with CO2 emissions of 129g/km.
"Low emissions were a key consideration for us," said Tranter. "The idea of selecting these cars was to reduce the whole life cost to our company, and Vauxhall's ecoFLEX models offer improved fuel consumption and reduced NI contributions. Drivers will also benefit from a drop in Benefit in Kind tax.
"In addition, Vauxhall also offered us a lifetime warranty on every car plus extended AA cover, which again is very valuable for us, as some of the vehicles will cover a lot of miles. The support that Vauxhall's fleet team offered us formed a key part of our decision to deal with them."
