Autodata has secured a contract with National Tyres and Autocare to supply its network with vehicle maintenance data through its Online 3 product.

The contract will enable National Tyres’ staff to access Autodata’s database of technical information online from any of its 220 plus branches.

Autodata’s Online 3 programme is designed to help technicians faced with the difficult task of keeping up-to-date with the detailed technical information required to service the ever expanding range of complex modern cars.

Tony Neill, CEO at National Tyres, said: “Autodata’s online system will enable our technicians to respond to customer queries quickly and accurately and will mean that we have constant access to the most timely and acute information.”

Through Autodata’s Online 3 system, National Tyres will have access to technical information on a number of core subjects, including: known fixes and bulletins; technical data; repair times; wheel alignment; tyre sizes and pressures; tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS); service schedules; and diagnostic trouble codes.

Tony Swiatek, managing director at Autodata, said: “Using Autodata Online, National Tyres outlets can gain access to a continually updated database of accurate data as it becomes available as well as the vast archive of older models. Staff will also receive constant updates, covering models launched during the past six months.”
