Northgate Vehicle Hire has unveiled its new look Glasgow site after a £300,000 re-development.
It is part of Northgate’s £1.5m investment across the UK this year. The Glasgow site is the first to undergo the treatment and will be used as a blueprint for the company’s 62 depots.

Northgate’s operations director north, Simon Ridley, said: “The fleet has grown substantially over the last 15 years and it was time our facilities reflected the standard of service offered.”

The Glasgow site now boasts a dedicated reception area for rental and workshop customers, two plasma TVs with information points (one of which with a live workshop planner so customers can track the maintenance progress of their vehicles), a refreshment and working area with Wi-Fi access for customers, a new open plan office and a canteen.

Ridley added: “We have spent £300,000 reconfiguring the Glasgow site to make it more efficient. Alongside providing our colleagues with a working environment that allows them to carry out their jobs effectively, process efficiencies will improve significantly to ensure that our customers have an unrivalled experience with every visit.”
