Zenith has successfully launched what it describes as one of the largest private sector salary sacrifice car schemes in the UK for Santander.
Within just a month following the scheme launch over 160 vehicles were ordered through the scheme, called the Santander UK All Employee Car Scheme, and the ongoing take up has exceeded expectations.
The scheme is open to UK based permanent Santander employees and its aim is to add to their comprehensive benefits package and make Santander a more rewarding place to work.
The All Employee Car Scheme is designed to actively encourage employees to select lower emission vehicles as part of Santander’s ‘Go Green’ campaign and car emissions are capped at 120g/km CO2.
Drivers can choose from a range of annual mileages between 5,000 and 40,000 over either two or three years, with an option to buy the car at the end of the contract and employees also have the option to order up to two vehicles at a time. The manufacturers available through the scheme are BMW, Mini, Audi, VW, Vauxhall, Ford, Honda, Kia, Volvo, Hyundai and Mazda.
Zenith is also the chosen provider of Santander’s company car scheme called the Santander Essential Business User Scheme.
Employees within certain grades who are eligible for the Santander Essential Business User Scheme can opt into the All Employee Car Scheme. The operation of both car schemes was awarded to Zenith following a rigorous procurement process.
Tom Manahan, fleet manager for Santander, said: “We have been delighted at how well received the All Employee Car Scheme has been and take up has exceeded expectations. We worked closely with Zenith to provide a cost effective benefit that brings fantastic added value to our employees. The effort has clearly paid off as we have had a brilliant response.”
Tim Buchan, chief executive at Zenith, said: “Being awarded the contract to run both the Santander UK All Employee Car Scheme, as well as their Essential Business User Scheme is a huge accolade for Zenith.
“We continue to be the provider of choice for blue chip companies looking to launch car schemes and enhance their benefits package, be that traditional company car or salary sacrifice schemes. It is great to see the benefits of our high quality motoring solutions being recognised by both Santander and their employees.”
