Nearly 150 members and guests have so far signed up for the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) annual national members’ conference.

The event marks 20 years of the ICFM and will be take place at the T-Building, Mini Plant, Cowley Road on Tuesday, November 13 at the T-Building, MINI Plant, Cowley Road, Oxford.

Chairman of the ICFM Roddy Graham said: “Naturally members are keen to celebrate this major milestone in our history by looking at the past, the present and to the future.

“Our main morning session devoted to ‘Key Trends in Urban Mobility’ looks as if it is proving a major draw as is our guest speaker, Murray Walker OBE, who I am delighted to say is keen to learn more and will be attending the whole day.”

Two additional panellists have been recruited to participate in the debate on what lessons can be drawn from the past 20 years and how the next 20 years might look in the ‘Key Trends in Urban Mobility’ session being facilitated by Stephen Glaister CBE, Professor of Transport and Infrastructure at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Imperial College London.

Richard Bruce, head of the Office for Low Emissions Vehicles (OLEV) and Suzanne Gray, general manager of BMW Project i at BMW Group UK and lead on the Mini E project join the expert panel of guest speakers comprising Professor Allan Hutchinson, Oxford Brookes University; Dr Colin Herron, MD, Zero Carbon Futures; Caroline Watson, transport strategy manager, Energy Saving Trust; Darren Lindsey, head of government & public affairs, Michelin PLC; and David K Martell, chief executive, Chargemaster Plc.

After lunch, Murray Walker will be the conference guest speaker. He will also present this year’s ICFM awards.

The annual national members’ conference will commence at 10am and finish at 3pm.
