The event, which took place at the Emriates Stadium in London, saw Gloucester based UK Global Road Safety up against some of the largest organisations in the industry.

Kevin Packer, one of the UK Global Road Safety directors, said: “We are thrilled just to be shortlisted for these awards and to come away with the commended certification the first time of entering of means a great deal to us.

“It is great to be recognised for our contribution to eco driving and to be up against some of the big players is an honour.”

He added: “We are confident that the fuel saving our training provides can save businesses significant cost.

“UK Global Road Safety provides fleet operators with a choice of ECO friendly online and behind the wheel courses that can affect their drivers’ behaviour.

“Many of our clients are already experiencing the fuel saving benefits and the convenience of online training.

“Fuel prices and the economy are still so unstable - businesses operating a fleet of vehicles can not afford to be without a UK Global Road Safety driver risk management programme.”
