Last month Inchcape presented a cheque to the automotive industry charity, BEN for almost £32,000. This remarkable total was the result of a major assault on the ‘Three Peaks in 24 hours Challenge’ by Inchcape. Ten teams of volunteers from across all brands took on the famous challenge with the objective of raising £30,000 and proceeded to exceed all expectations.
“Our CEO challenge was an opportunity for many to complete a personal challenge and to also engender some competition and team spirit,” added Kerry Howard, head of internal communications at Inchcape UK. “Everyone had a fantastic time taking part and to raise such an incredible sum for BEN has been a pleasure.”
Valerie Moore, BEN regional development manager, received the cheque on behalf of the charity and commented: "The scale of this staff challenge in support of BEN, 100 participants across the group, is inspiring and a great credit to Inchcape and all who worked so hard to raise such a tremendous amount in sponsorship.
“Taking on the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales is no mean feat in itself but to raise £32,000 in the process is fantastic. We thank you most sincerely."
