The Welsh and Scottish Ambulance Services have both added the Honda CR-V to their fleet.
The Welsh Ambulance Service has ordered more than 30 examples of the third-generation SUV in the past year, while the Scottish Ambulance Service has taken delivery of more than 40 in the past 24 months.
Following an evaluation of the all-new fourth-generation CR-V, which launched in the past few weeks, more than 20 examples will be heading north of the border in the coming months.
Michael Ahmed, general manager fleet service at Scottish Ambulance Service, said: "Building on the experience of the CR-Vs that have been in service as Paramedic Response Units (PRUs) since 2007, Scottish Ambulance has introduced the CR-V as the base vehicle for all PRUs heading into the winter months giving additional four wheel drive capability."

I use one and I can't think of a better vehicle, spacious inside for crews wearing big coats and lots of gear, not the best ride but very agile and stable at high speed, very big flexible boot and the 4 wheel drive is perfectly adequate for most situations you will find in this country. And of course Honda reliability for people that really need to get there! (oh and its made in Britain too!)
