ARI Fleet has awarded ‘Garage of the Year’ to Washington MOT Centre in Washington, Tyne and Wear, ‘Going The Extra Mile’ to West Bromwich-based Ferdotti Motor Services and ‘100% Plus’ to New Duston Garage in Northampton.
The businesses are all members of ARI’s nationwide independent garage Masterserve network, which numbers some 140 organisations.
Ferdotti Motor Services retained the ‘Going The Extra Mile’ award which is for the most compliments from customers and the ARI operations team as a percentage against a workload.
New Duston Garage, last year’s Garage of the Year winner, was recognised for undertaking more than 1,000 service, maintenance and repair jobs in the past 12 months without a single quality issue being raised.
Further adding to the success for both Ferdotti Motor Services and New Duston Garage was that their apprentices - James O’Connor and Marcus Barford respectively - were named Masterserve Academy Apprentices of the Year.
The Academy, which is run in partnership with automotive apprentice provider Remit, was launched almost three years ago to provide youngsters with job opportunities and develop their skills.
The duo beat almost 40 other apprentices to win the coveted prizes.
Tracey Crawford, who received the ‘Garage of the Year’ award from ARI Fleet UK managing director Mark Bryan, and is on the ‘frontline’ in the business with service manager Tony Waite, said: “We have a team of 14 in the garage and our success is down to good customer service and communication.”
