<p>Nationwide Accident Repair Services has announced that Ross McEleny has been appointed as head of IT to spearhead the IT strategy which is a key component of the group’s growth plans over the next three years.</p> <p>The company says that the new role reflects the importance of technology in Nationwide’s integrated offering across fixed site and mobile repair solutions, automotive glass services (Motorglass), plus the accident management and claims handling at Nationwide Network Services.</p> <p>Michael Wilmshurst, chief executive of Nationwide, explained: “As the group continues to strengthen its position in the insurance, fleet and retail markets, we rely on dynamic, responsive and agile technology to reduce cycle times, improve efficiencies across the business and help us maintain our position as the number one automotive support service provider and repairer in the UK.</p> <p>“For many years, we have led the way with a unique IT platform that has enabled us to deliver consistency and excellent standards across the business. Technology is developing rapidly and we recognise that ongoing development is critical in providing flexible services to our diverse range of customers.</p> <p>“We will be looking to Ross to drive our commitment to excellence throughout our systems, helping us to secure further market opportunites.
