David Wallace has this week joined motor industry e-commerce specialist epyx in the newly-created key role of sales and business development director.
He has a track record in the motor industry over more than two decades, spending the last 12 years as executive director of business services at the Automobile Association.
Other previous roles include managing director of Acoat Bodyshop Services, sales director at Evans Halshaw Financial Services and sales director at Fleet Cost Management.
At epyx, David will be responsible for maintaining, developing and creating business relationships with motor manufacturers, large fleets, major dealer groups and other key partners.
He said: “Over the last decade, epyx has developed the 1link range of e-commerce platforms to become the acknowledged standard for the fleet and motor industries. The challenge now is to sustain and build on that position, enhancing our existing offerings and closely examining the potential for new markets and new products.
“It’s very exciting to be joining the company at this point in time and playing my part in that process. The team here is the most talented in its field and I am already enjoying working alongside them.”
Greg Connell, managing director at epyx, added: “David has a very impressive record of achievement in the motor industry sustained over many years and we are pleased to welcome him on board.”

i run my own service/repair/diagnostics workshop and have used epxy 1link platform since 2009 they have taken money out of my account without authorisation twice now and i am very disappointed with their attitude, the first amount was for 450.00 in October 13 and after a very stressful couple of phone calls i managed to get a refund, they have now taken 360.00 out of my account again without my permission and tell me it will take up to 14 days to refund even though they admit it was a mistake.it is very difficult for small businesses to survive in this economic climate we have been in business for 29 yrs but if i looked after my customers like they look after theirs i am sure i would not have lasted this long. very disappointed and angry
