The reality that comes out from these figures is that the UK mid-van market collapsed by about 40% in 2009 showing the impact on businesses of the Banks' Collapse. Ford's share of this slowly recovering market has remained the same through to Autumn 2013. One would forecast its significant decline from now on, as the company has ceased UK mid-van assembly (marking the complete closure of UK now, after a 110 years manufacturing presence in Britain). Businesses have significantly turned to the remaining UK mid-van assembler: General Motors whose Vivaro, Trafic and Primastar ranges under the Vauxhall, Renault and Nissan badges are assembled by GM-IBC at Luton.
