Contract hire provider Tusker has been named in the London Stock Exchange Group’s inaugural list of the top 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain, a new index identifying the most exciting small and medium-sized companies in the UK.

To be selected for the list, companies had to demonstrate not only a positive growth in revenue over the last four years, but also an increase in employee numbers, workspace, contract wins or patent filings.

Xavier Rolet, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group, said the new report was a “list of companies richer and more varied than ever identified in any other exercise of this type”.

“Our research, and that of many others, has shown that it is almost exclusively these companies that have generated new, net job creation in the UK since the financial crisis,” he said.

Recently, Tusker was included in the prestigious Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 of the top-performing technology-based companies in the UK. Fast-growing Tusker, was ranked 76th in the league table of the top 100 private technology, media and telecoms (TMT) companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years.

Tusker CEO, David Hosking, said that the LSE Group listing was “further great news for our company”.

“To be recognised as an inspirational company, one that is growing in every sense from employee numbers to new customers to financial results, is a marvellous endorsement of both the outstanding sales proposition offered to our rapidly expanding customer-base, as well as the unique culture and work-ethic of our team,” he said.
