Six members of the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) attained their Diploma in Car Fleet Management during 2013.
As a result, all six automatically have become Fellows of the Institute.
Paul Baldock of the Driving Standards Agency, recipient of the Introductory Certificate and Certificate in Car Fleet Management during 2013, won the Peter Moxon Award for Training Achiever of the Year, while the Career Development Award was presented to Georgina Smith of Healthcare at Home who also completed both the Introductory Certificate and Certificate qualifications in the same year.
The awards’ presentations were made at the recent annual national members’ conference held at Jaguar Land Rover’s headquarters in Gaydon.
Chairman of the ICFM Roddy Graham said: “It is rewarding to see that top fleet people go the extra mile in terms of individual continuous professional development.
“All six who have achieved their Diploma in Car Fleet Management are to be congratulated on their efforts.
“I am sure their employers will benefit from their professional attainment, as will the employers of those who commenced on the fleet learning ladder with the Introductory Certificate and Certificate in Car Fleet Management.
“To whatever level members go with their qualifications, one thing is for certain, they never stop learning.”
The six new Fellows of the ICFM who achieved their Diploma in Car Fleet Management are:
Nina Hughes from Eon UK
Peter Milchard from Aviva
Mary Noah from The Police & Crime Commissioner for Bedfordshire Sarah Gilding from South Yorkshire Police Paul Simeon from Turner Hire Drive Limited Graham Strachan from the Scottish Police Authority.
Graham continued: “Our annual national members’ conference is the event at which the Institute can recognise publicly the achievement of those who have studied for professional fleet management qualifications.
“We had 21 members attain their Introductory Certificate in Car Fleet Management and 17 their Certificate in Car Fleet Management during 2013 so our congratulations are extended to them also. Our congratulations also go to our special award winners, Paul Baldock and Georgina Smith.”
The next ICFM advanced programme leading to the Diploma in Car Fleet Management is due to start on January 28, 2014, and there are still a few places left.
