The inaugural Priority Auctions at BCA Nottingham on 15thand 29th January were both 100% sell-outs as were the initial online auctions.  In total, 775 Toyota and Lexus vehicles were sold in the first month of the new remarketing relationship with BCA.

These inaugural sales followed the announcement last November that BCA, in partnership with Ambrosetti UK, would deliver vehicle de-fleet and remarketing services to Toyota (GB) PLC from 1st January 2013.

The first Priority Auction attracted 421 buyers online and in the auction hall, with over 80% of the Lexus network and more than half of the Toyota network registering to bid.  All 159 vehicles sold, with the 100% conversion achieving an average of 103% of CAP Clean. Notable performers included Land Cruiser, with the three examples on offer averaging 125% of CAP Clean, and a 2009-registered Lexus GS450h realising 160% of CAP Clean at 105,000 miles.

Nearly 370 buyers participated in the second sale which also converted at 100%, selling 104 vehicles for an average 105% of CAP Clean. Bidding was very competitive throughout the sale, with Live Online bidders again playing a significant role.

The Toyota & Lexus Remarketing spokesman, Andrew Yellop, said “This was an exceptional result and a perfect start to the new partnership with BCA.   Staff and management at BCA Nottingham and our new Toyota & Lexus Remarketing team at Chipping Warden pulled out all the stops to make this first sale a great success.  We look forward to building on this initial result throughout this year and beyond.”

BCA managing director Spencer Lock commented “BCA are committed to working closely with the Toyota & Lexus Remarketing team to generate increased buyer support from the franchised networks, and these first sales highlighted the benefits of this strategy.  We have set the bar high during the first month of the new partnership and we are already working to build on this success going forward.”
