Mervyn Stewart Skoda has been chosen as one of eight statement sites in the UK by Skoda - the only one in Northern Ireland to launch its new corporate identity. Mervyn Stewart Skoda, home of the largest Skoda showroom in the UK, has also just launched the new Octavia – the latest car to bear the new identity.
Last year new car sales at the Belfast dealership rose to over 30%, Mervyn Stewart Skoda is confident sales will increase further with the launch of the Octavia, forecasting two thirds of the sales for the new model will be business users who are looking for a reliable, tax efficient vehicle that will save on costs. Currently Skoda UK supply approximately 10,000 Octavia to the fleet market – a figure which is projected to double within the next four years.
Stephen Stewart, managing director of Mervyn Stewart Skoda Belfast comments: “It is a great accolade to be chosen by Skoda to represent the brand as a flagship dealership. It’s great to see Belfast recognised as a priority for Skoda as our local customers will benefit from our enhanced offering. We are also very excited about the timely arrival of the new Octavia, a number of our business customers have held off making fleet purchase decisions, waiting for such a vehicle – awarded for its practicality and efficiency.”
Mervyn Stewart Skoda is also celebrating it’s 50th birthday this year, the locally owned ‘family run’ business invested in the Skoda brand following the car manufacturers commitment to double their global sales by 2018. The group investment amounts to a massive €14 billion, and includes a new two year phase of product development which aims to release a new model every 6 months.
