Some of the fleet industry’s favourite premium car brands will be making their vehicles available for unaccompanied drives at Company Car in Action.

Vehicles from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo will be put through their paces on the purpose-built tracks at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, in what is likely to be the biggest CCIA in many years.

The event will play a significant role in providing fleets with the information they need to decide their future manufacturer partners, including exclusive first drives, new launches and unrivalled access to all the key cars, from the most efficient diesels to electric and hydrogen.

As well as driving cars on four unique types of route on a purpose-built test track, there will be a number of informative displays and services available in the exhibition hall.

BMW

BMW will be showcasing the new 3 Series Gran Turismo and Mini Paceman models, as well as other cars in the BMW and Mini ranges.

BMW corporate operations manager Stephen Chater said: "I am delighted BMW Group will be back at CCIA again this year in June working with Fleet News to showcase key BMW and Mini models within our product offer to corporate customers and prospects.

"The corporate sales team will be on hand at the event to discuss the customer’s needs and how BMW and Mini can work for their organisation and their drivers."

Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz will also be at the event with the new CLA-Class expected to be among a fresh product line-up, which also includes the recently revised E-Class and the new A-Class.

Lexus will be offering fleet operators a first drive in its new full hybrid IS300h the third-generation IS saloon and with CO2 emissions starting at 99g/km for SE model.

The higher specification luxury version emits 103g/km and even the IS 300h F Sport and Premier grades are an impressive 109g/km.

Jaguar

For many fleet operators Jaguar F-Type’s appearance at Company Car in Action will offer a first drive opportunity in the manufacturer’s all-new, two-seater sports car.

Latest versions of the XF, XF Sportbrake, XJ and XK will also be available to drive, and Jaguar has also chosen CCIA to make an announcement about its company car staple the XF.

Land Rover

The new Range Rover Sport will be on display at Company Car in Action providing the first opportunity for many to enjoy a close inspection of the model unveiled at the New York Motor Show. The new Sport version completes the three-model Range Rover line-up.

Two versions of the new Range Rover will be available to drive at the event in both 3.0-litre and 4.4-litre guises. Two Fleet News Award winners will also be available to drive – the Best all-round 4x4, the Land Rover Discovery and Best Crossover, the Range Rover Evoque alongside the latest version of Freelander following a facelift last in 2012.

Volvo
Fleet operators will have the opportunity to test drive the new Volvo V60 Plug-in, the world's first diesel plug-in hybrid.

The UK launch of the Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid, which has been developed in partnership with Swedish electricity supplier Vattenfal, took place in March and first deliveries are due this summer with CCIA providing one of the earliest opportunities for fleet decision-makers to drive the vehicle.

The V60 Plug-in Hybrid will be joined by the V40 R-Design and V40 Cross Country. Volvo Car UK’s national corporate operations manager Selwyn Cooper said: "We expect the V60 Plug-in Hybrid to be a popular drive over the two days. None of our competitors can offer customers an equally ingenious car. Its uncompromising attitude to green motoring elevates hybrid technology to an entirely new level. We believe the early adopters will be among the influential fleet fraternity.”
