Roadsense Technology has announced the appointment of Andrew Tillman to the board as managing director.
As a founder of Minorplanet in 1996, Tillman served on the UK PLC board as the business grew to become one of the largest tracking companies in Europe.
Leaving Minorplanet in 2004, Tillman joined rival telematics company Masternaut and was an instrumental part of the team that guided it to overtake Minorplanet as Europe’s largest by 2010.
Following the acquisition of Masternaut in 2011 Tillman left the business to found G2M Technologies with his sales director at Masternaut, Rob Goldwater, who is one of the founders of Roadsense Technology.
“This is a great opportunity”, said Tillman. “Although Roadsense is a new business, it offers a well-established product that is relied upon by blue-chip organisations in over 20 countries”. “Our Driver Safety and Efficiency systems are proven in over 15,000 vehicles and our expertise in CANBus and vehicle integration is the best I have seen during my years in the industry.” He added.
Roadsense is partly owned by Matt Johnson and Scott Cassell, founding owners of Handsfree, specialists in vehicle equipment installation.
‘This business has everything it needs to be a very successful venture” added Tillman, “Great products, hugely experienced people, and the infrastructure and financial stability to deliver. I’m really excited about the future and leading Roadsense to success.”
Roadsense Technology is based in Trafford Park, Manchester.
