Yodel has announced the appointment of Keith Basnett as chief operating officer.
Basnett joins Yodel following eight years at digital department store Shop Direct Group, with brands including Very.co.uk, Littlewoods and Isme, where he was group chief operating officer.
He brings a wealth of retail expertise to Yodel, particularly in running complex logistics operations and customer service. He played a key role in the integration of Littlewoods Home Shopping and Shop Direct (formerly GUS) and has previously held senior positions at N Brown Group, Freemans, Hutchison Telecom and American Express.
At Yodel, Basnett will be responsible for Yodel’s operations and the delivery of over 150 million parcels a year.
Yodel’s executive chairman, Dick Stead, said: “Keith is a strong addition to our team as we reaffirm our position as the UK’s leading parcel delivery company. As internet retailing and home shopping continue to show significant growth, Keith is perfectly positioned to help us navigate an ever changing industry. His experience in retail, customer service and logistics management will be invaluable as we build on our existing success and look to grow the business further.”
Basnett said: “This is an exciting time to join Yodel, and I am looking forward to playing a key role in the company’s future, building on existing partnerships and welcoming new clients on board.”

The best he can do for the company is shut it down! Nothing but rubbish and lies yodel is, they only care about money and not the customers or the customer parcels
