Rolec EV has been awarded the contract to manufacture and supply electric vehicle charging stations to all Scottish domestic home owners looking to purchase an EV and obtain funding from Transport for Scotland/OLEV via the Energy Saving Trust grant support scheme.
Bianca Alsop, Rolec EV’s business development manager, said: “We are delighted that despite extremely stiff competition, SSE, who were awarded the installation contract by the Energy Saving Trust, chose Rolec EV and its unique WallPod EV: HomeCharge unit as its preferred electric vehicle charging station. These charging units will be installed, tested and commissioned throughout Scotland by SSE’s Home Services division.
“The WallPod EV : HomeCharge unit has proved highly adaptable, yet cost effective and is able to provide all types and modes of electric vehicle charging solutions as well as offering full back office management support as required by all grant funding schemes.
“In this particular case, the WallPod EV : HomeCharge was manufactured to a particular specification which included the installation of LED status indicators, a tethered lead cable management system and a unique charger to wall mounting bracket, making it exceptionally easy for installation and maintenance.”
