Warranty Direct is appealing to UK motorists to help compile a motoring study, combining real-world customer feedback with reliability data.

The Warranty Direct 360 Used Car Survey will be a comprehensive, all-round study of UK used car ownership and will use data from more than 50,000 live policies to give a full ‘360-degree view’ of vehicle ownership.

The company is asking motorists to help shape the results of the new survey by commenting on various factors of car ownership and ranking, amongst other aspects, their own pride and joy’s performance, design, value-for-money and interior comfort.

Duncan McClure Fisher, Warranty Direct manager director, said: “Motorist satisfaction is influenced by many factors – everything from handling characteristics and in-car gadgets to styling and paint colour.

“Our survey will be the first to marry that subjective opinion with our proprietary, objective data to reveal the complete picture of UK used car ownership.”

When the survey closes on July 28, motorist opinions will be merged with Warranty Direct’s database of reliability statistics to form the definitive rundown of car ownership satisfaction, which will be released later in the year.
