MyDrive further expands its management team

MyDrive Solutions, the insurance telematics specialist, has appointed John Donaldson as commercial & finance director. In his new role, Donaldson will be tasked with managing MyDrive’s continued growth, drawing upon his experience in applying financial acumen to rapidly growing businesses.

Donaldson will be responsible for all commercial and financial activities at MyDrive Solutions, as well as managing the HR and Facilities functions. Donaldson joins the senior management team at MyDrive, defining the strategy of the business and leading MyDrive in its rapid growth into new territories.

Donaldson has held senior finance roles in a number of large corporations within the technology and telecommunications industry. Prior to joining MyDrive Solutions, Donaldson was initially financial director Europe at AboveNet Communications, a leading fibre-optic communications provider. Moving to the role of general manager at AboveNet, Donaldson grew revenue and EBITDA at the business over 20% annually between 2008 and 2011. Before this, Donaldson was commercial finance director at global telecommunications provider, Verizon, where he led the finance group of the £700m turnover global accounts business unit, managing a team of 12 distributed across Europe.
