Shipntrak, which connects shippers and hauliers on an auction style platform enabling users to match cargo with available space, is now live and free to use.

Powered by global vehicle tracking company Simplytrak, the service aims to allow shippers and hauliers to work together efficiently and reduce costs like never before.

Based on an easy-to-use online system, Shipntrak creates a competitive environment to source hauliers. It also provides an additional revenue stream for hauliers by enabling empty vehicles to be registered and loads sourced for what would otherwise be unprofitable return legs.

The system works using various filters, relevant loads can be matched with suitable vehicles based on a number of different categories including location, route, vehicle type and dates.

A first for online freight exchanges Shipntrak also enables real-time tracking of the cargo from pickup to delivery.

The system can be utilised without any additional tracking hardware fitted to vehicles. Installation of the Shipntrak app on any drivers GPS enabled android/iOS device enables shippers to track their loads in real time and assists hauliers in vehicle management as well as providing an accurate delivery time to the receiver.

The system is currently live and running a Beta version which means the system is now completely free - there are no subscriptions, no sign up costs and no auction fees
