Manheim’s LCV team is ‘top of the van class’

Manheim has scored an industry first as the only commercial vehicle remarketing specialist to send its staff ‘back to college’ to achieve the Certificate of Excellence in Van Operations.

The course has been tailored specially to the commercial vehicle industry and is designed to improve the overall professionalism and customer service levels within the used van market.

This now means that Manheim has specialists at over half of the dedicated CV centres across the UK who have achieved the Freight Transport Association (FTA) endorsed qualification, which has already been adopted by several major CV dealer groups.

Committing to an intensive one day course followed by an exam, the Manheim team can now display, proudly, their certificates and pin badges to confirm their FTA endorsed qualifications, which are retested every three years.

James Davis, director of commercial vehicles at Manheim Remarketing, said: “To see our first batch of willing students be awarded this qualification is truly fantastic; I am very proud! As part of our CV strategy and to underpin our CV customer charter, I made a commitment that our people would be trained and developed to engage confidently Manheim’s customers in the specialist area of commercial vehicles.

“By the end of the year, all of our key customer-facing CV specialists, across remarketing sales, operations and other group businesses, will have been through this training. We will join the likes of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles which has trained its entire franchise network to this standard.

Manheim is the only remarketing business to be accepted onto the FTA’s Van Excellence Scheme as a partner and the first to provide an industry-recognised qualification to its CV team. This development confirms Manheim’s ongoing commitment to its people and its customer service levels.
