Sales executives who enjoyed some team bonding at Alton Towers saved the most memorable ride until last – when they drove home in their new Seat Ibiza company cars.

Group account executives from Personal Group, provider of employee benefits and insurance services, were handed their keys to a 40-strong fleet of Ibiza five-door SE 1.2 TDI Ecomotives at the end of a quarterly sales meeting staged at the theme park.

Lancaster Seat Milton Keynes, part of Jardine Motors Group, supplied the fleet, complete with rear privacy glass and Seat portable system.

Phil Yates, operations director at Personal Group, said: “Our staff are already singing the praises of their new Ibizas. We considered many car brands but chose this particular model because of its excellent green credentials and fuel economy, as well as for its ample space and striking features.

“For a compact hatchback model the five-door Ibiza offers a good degree of space and practicality. The five-door layout lends itself to ease of use and the interior offers ample head and legroom. The interior controls are sensibly placed as well as intuitive and nicely styled, for ease of use on the move.”

Adam Connelly, regional contract hire manager (fleet & business sales) at Seat UK, added: “Seat is continuing to boost its appeal in the fleet market, with an outstanding range of cars from top to bottom. The combination of German engineering and Spanish design flair and, last but not least, the very low running costs of all its cars, are major reasons why Seat has managed to increase fleet sales by 50% in 2013, compared to last year."

The Ibiza five-door SE 1.2 TDI Ecomotive, priced from £14,770, has CO2 emissions of 92 g/km and combined fuel economy of 80.7 mpg. It uses a 1.2 TDI 75 bhp diesel engine equipped with electronic stability control (ESC), diesel particulate filter (DPF), and stop/start.
