Neil Murphy has joined national contract hire and vehicle rental company Burnt Tree as General Manager for its newly launched ‘Refrigerental’ temperature controlled vehicle rental division.

In this recently created role, Neil is responsible for the on-going development and operations of the Refrigerental brand within the Burnt Tree Group, as the company moves into providing a dedicated temperature controlled vehicle rental and contract hire business for the first time.

“The opportunity to manage and develop the new Refrigerental operation for Burnt Tree came at the right time for me as it enables me to utilise my long term experience within the temperature controlled sector to the benefit of the company. Burnt Tree’s ambitious plans for the expansion of the Refrigerental business are certainly impressive and I look forward to playing a major role in the future success of this business,” said Murphy.

Murphy  joined Burnt Tree from Petit Forestier, where he spent 13 years in various sales positions, latterly as Contract Hire Director. Prior to Petit Forestier, Neil worked for a further 12 years within the truck rental industry.

‘Refrigerental’ was launched by Burnt Tree in September 2013 , with an  range of new temperature controlled rental vehicles, from car derived vans and panel vans, right up to 18tonne and 26tonne rigid trucks, covering both single and multi-temperature applications.
