A vehicle solutions business has moved its rental arm to the company’s new headquarters as part of plans to double in size over the next three years.

M-Way Vehicle Rentals joined sister company Motiva Vehicle Contracts and parent company Motiva Group at its new site in Staffordshire on September 27.

The fleet management firm formerly operated from three locations in Stoke-on-Trent, but have now amalgamated all services at a single site in the city to create the ultimate one-stop shop for customers.

Peter Wright, group sales and marketing director, said: “Bringing M-Way over to our new base in Longton means we’ll be able to provide a wide variety of services and solutions from one site.

“For the first time, we will have contract hire, daily rentals, fleet monitoring, fuel management, risk management and vehicle maintenance operating out of the same place.

“It makes good sense both commercially and practically and we’re hoping to reap the benefits.”

Wright said: “We’re planning to double the size of our fleet to about 10,000 vehicles in 36 months.

“So this move, along with bringing in M-Way, from nearby Bucknall, is really about putting in place the infrastructure we need for that expansion.

“These are exciting times for the company and our plans will have positive implications for the local economy too.

“The Staffordshire and South Cheshire area will benefit from our expansion because we buy local whenever we can and because we will be creating jobs.

“Some 75 per cent of our vehicles are locally supplied, so we’re spending millions of pounds with suppliers from North Staffordshire.

Wright added: “We’ve always felt that customer service is one of the key ways we can stand at the forefront of our industry, so while we have plans to expand the business, we will make sure we never lose the personal touch.

“We are planning to make a lot of investment in technology that will help us to maintain the one-to-one approach we have at the moment.”

It currently operates a fleet of around 5,000 cars and commercial vehicles through its contract hire division.

Along with short-term rentals through the M-Way brand, it provides funded or non-funded fleet provision and fleet and fuel management.
