Silicon Valley camera technology manufacturer AmeriCam has launched a new range of vehicle CCTV systems.
The TradeCraft CCTV systems incorporate the latest technology to help fleet owners reduce costs resulting from theft, damage and insurance fraud by recording high-resolution video of events inside and outside of their vehicles.
The chassis-mounted CCTVs include a mouse controlled graphic user interface that makes system set-up and footage review easy. A data overlay allows fleet owners to review vehicle speed, vehicle ID, time, date and optional GPS coordinates.
The cameras are available with an internal solid state memory for up to 64 hours of recording, or removable hard drives with up to 2000 hours of continuous recording. Since each CCTV system can support up to four cameras, fleet owners can choose from a variety of internal and external recording options. External cameras include front, rear and side-view cameras with optional infrared night vision; and internal cameras are available with visible and invisible infrared night vision.
Additional optional features include G-sensors that automatically lock incident files; GPS utilising Google Maps; 3G connectivity that transmits a live feed from vehicle cameras to any computer with internet access; and WiFi for automatically uploading video files once the vehicle returns to the garage.
