Anglian Water has renewed its contract with ATS Euromaster and Michelin for the 13th year.
Since fitting premium tyres, Anglian Water has recorded fewer tyre replacements and reduced levels of fuel consumption – important factors in its overall ambition to lessen its environmental impact.
Additional support provided by the Michelin team has included highlighting the importance of correct tyre pressures to Anglian Water staff through Fill Up With Air roadshows and the provision of tyre maintenance toolkits.
Fleet maintenance manager John Harding said: “ATS Euromaster are the experts in their field. They provide us with outstanding customer care, and their ability to respond rapidly to any issues ensures that any vehicle downtime is kept to a minimum.
“Michelin has always worked closely with us to reduce the environmental impact of our fleet as they know that is one of our key targets. We have seen excellent results in terms of tyre wear and fuel savings over the years, the Fill Up With Air events have really raised awareness of the importance of tyre pressures for safety and fuel, and the tyre maintenance toolkit they delivered formed a key part of our ‘Safe and Well’ initiative for staff.
“The Michelin team continues to embrace our business goals and they lead the way in innovation. They’re the perfect fit.”
Peter Wood, key account manager at Michelin, added: “We are proud of the long partnership we have enjoyed with Anglian Water and we’re delighted our work together will continue.
“Their fleet of cars and vans face a wide range of challenges, with some needing to travel on difficult terrain and in very harsh weather conditions. We tailor tyre solutions to their vehicles, including the provision of winter tyres for their vans, as well as providing our year-round support services. We look forward to continuing to help them meet their financial and environmental targets in the coming year.”
