A driver training centre based in the North East is building for future growth by bringing on-stream two additional simulators.
Tadea’s Effective Transport Solutions driver training centre, based in Washington, will mark the centre’s expansion by holding an event set to be attended by representatives from business from across the region.
The centre is designed to help any organisation with fleets of vehicles on the road to cut costs, boost efficiency and increase safety.
The new simulators – housed in BMW Minis and offering a 360-degree, fully-immersed driving experience – will significantly expand the centre’s operational capabilities and will add to the one such simulator already in operation at the centre, as well as the suite of smaller ‘pod’ simulators that complement it.
In addition, the centre boasts classroom facilities and a dedicated team of transport experts delivering courses accredited by training body EAL. These courses include fuel efficient driving, hazard perception and driving in adverse weather conditions – modules designed to help businesses cut costs, reduce emissions and address their health and safety responsibilities. Training at the centre can result in a Level 1 Award in Effective Driving Techniques.
Gordon Pattie, manager at Tadea’s Effective Transport Solutions, said: “We’re delighted that these new simulators are now on-line – especially as we’re moving towards winter and with the increased demand for adverse weather training this will bring. This expansion will significantly increase the number of people who can benefit from what we’re offering here at Tadea’s Effective Transport Solutions division.
“We can help fleet managers cut costs, boost safety and meet their health and safety obligations. Consequently, this is an event which will be of interest to any organisation with a vehicle fleet.”
The event will take place on October 22 from 9–11am at Effective Transport Solutions training centre.
Anyone wishing to attend can register by contacting the Effective Transport Solutions team on 0845 602 9569 or by completing the online registration form at the Tadea website.
