Enigma Telematics has released an Android version of its Skyline Asset Tracking app.

With an iOS tablet version already available for iPad and iPad Mini users, an Android version can now be downloaded free of charge from Android app stores, for use on 7” and 10” tablets.

The app is effectively a tablet version of Skyline 7.5, Enigma’s web-based system launched in September 2013.  Skyline 7.5 can track, trace and monitor a business’s mobile assets – from cars, trailers and generators to heavy duty, off-road construction equipment.

With over 60 unique reports and a simple Key Performance Indicator (KPI) format, Skyline 7.5 is designed to help businesses to identify inappropriate vehicle use and driver behaviour, optimise fuel usage through effective fuel management, as well as protect assets from theft.

Skyline users who are away from the office but need instant information about their mobile assets, can now use the app for access to key reports, location details, asset history and routing information, as well as asset control.

The company says the app is a powerful tool for any user who has experienced the theft of a mobile asset and wants immediate access to location data, including current position, to pass to the Police or other relevant agency.

Katie Keam-George, IT manager and head of Skyline development at Enigma Telematics said, “We are delighted to confirm the release of an Android tablet version of Skyline Asset Tracking, because we think it will help users to extract even greater benefit from their use of Skyline.

"We recognise that tablets are being used more and more each day in a business capacity and just because you are not sat in front of a computer, this shouldn’t mean that you can’t have access to the data that Skyline can provide.  We have had really good feedback from users of the iOS version of Skyline Asset Tracking and we hope to get the same from Android users too.”
