Avis Budget Group and British Airways have announced a new multi-year exclusive global partnership agreement for the continued supply of Avis Car Rental to British Airways customers.
As part of the agreement between Avis and British Airways, leisure and business travellers visiting ba.com are able to make an Avis reservation either as a stand alone car reservation, by adding a vehicle rental to an existing flight booking, or by reserving a flight plus car package holiday (with guaranteed savings and ATOL protection).
Customers preferring to contact a British Airways call centre can also enjoy the convenience of reserving an Avis vehicle directly with British Airways’ own reservation agents. In addition, approximately three million British Airways Executive Club Members around the world enjoy additional benefits from the partnership, including one free additional driver with every rental, money-saving offers for Avis rentals and the opportunity to earn Avios travel rewards points on every rental.
Executive Club Members will continue to earn three Avios per £1 spent with Avis, now with a new minimum award of 700 Avios for rentals of at least three days and 500 Avios for rentals of one or two days.
Also new for the extended partnership is the ability for business travellers to rent on their Avis corporate account and earn Avios on every rental – encouraging corporate customers to fly with British Airways and rent with Avis.
Commenting on the development Larry De Shon, president of Europe, Middle East and Africa for Avis Budget Group said: “We’re very proud to continue our exclusive partnership with British Airways. The recent opening of the Avis car rental location at Heathrow Terminal 5, British Airways’ flagship terminal, is just one of the many ways that we have worked hard to tailor our products and services to the needs of this important partnership. We look forward to many more partnership innovations and continued incremental rentals over the coming years.”
