Skoda has announced pricing for the off-road edition of the Octavia.

Priced from £25,315, the Octavia Scout, based on the Octavia estate, features a fifth-generation Haldex clutch transmission.

Skoda claims the new Octavia Scout is 20 percent cleaner and more fuel-efficient than the previous model, delivering significant running-cost savings for owners.

Two engines and transmissions are available from launch: a 2.0 TDI 150hp with a six-speed manual gearbox and a 2.0 TDI 184PS featuring a six-speed DSG as standard. The former returns 55.4mpg on the combined cycle and has CO2 emissions of 129g/km, while the 184hp model returns 55.4mpg and has CO2 emissions of 134g/km.

The Scout accounts for eight per sent of worldwide Octavia estate sales.
