National Windscreens is reminding vehicle leasing companies of the value of European windscreen cover should their customers experience any issues with their vehicle’s glazing whilst on the continent.
National Windscreens national sales manager for fleets Graham Furneaux-Porter, said: “With vehicles that are frequently driven abroad, adequate windscreen repair cover can make a vital difference to the outcome of the drivers’ trip.
“National Windscreens provides comprehensive European coverage as part of its standard service, should any motorists experience a chipped or cracked windscreen whilst overseas.”
The independently owned company operates a fleet cover service to several vehicle hire firms such as Northgate and Europcar - as well as HGV fleet operators including DHL.
He continued: “Our fleet cover has been designed to make all aspects of the vehicle glazing transition as easy as possible for the fleet operator and this extends to enabling their customers to be able to access windscreen repair services in Europe with minimal inconvenience.”
“The motorist can arrange repairs on the continent through one phone call to our UK call centre and the fleet operator is invoiced as though the job had been carried out in the UK, making the process painless for all concerned.”
Thousands of hire vehicles travel from the UK to Europe every year for both leisure and business purposes. Part of the preparation for any trip should be a thorough glazing check to ensure any small chips or cracks are repaired before departure.
Commercial director Pete Marsden said: “No amount of pre-planning can stop stone chips from occurring whilst driving abroad – even at the most inconvenient of times which is why we offer extensive European coverage through our partnership with Automotive Glass Europe.”
Spanning 15 countries across Europe, AGE is a strong alliance between leading automotive glazing specialists carefully selected for the quality of workmanship and services they offer, as well as their geographical coverage capabilities.
