Vehicle information expert HPI has announced the appointment of Neil Hodson as managing director.
Hodson brings with him nearly 20 years of experience in the used car market, combining several top level positions.
His deep understanding of the used vehicle market puts him in a strong position to develop HPI’s core services and harness the power of its data to deliver a range of services that maximise a dealer’s bottom line and focus on customer service, says HPI.
Prior to joining HPI, Hodson was group sales director for Manheim, where he led group sales across Manheim Remarketing, Retail and other UK businesses, as well as supporting the international sales strategy.
Prior to this, he spent 11 years at Experian Automotive, as director and general manager, where he was responsible for setting up Car Data Check.
He said: “This is truly an exciting opportunity for me to use my expertise to further develop one of the most respected and successful brands in the UK Automotive market.
“HPI provides unrivalled protection for consumers and dealers alike through its core services, and I aim to ensure we continue to meet those needs.
“I aim to re-focus on our existing customers and ensuring we continue to deliver high quality, high value data solutions that provide a valuable ROI, designed to help them enhance their business.
“Through my understanding of the marketplace, I will be driving forward innovations that leverage the changing dynamics of the sector, by harnessing new technologies and market opportunities.
“By diversifying the HPI portfolio of services, we can bring our trade customers a new level of value, in new and interesting ways.”
