Leasedrive has won a four-year contract to supply its Mycar salary sacrifice scheme to TRL.
TRL is the UK’s Transport Research Laboratory and is recognised world-wide for transport innovation, evidential research and impartial advice.
Naomi Barringer, HR manager at TRL said: “We have enjoyed close business relations with our neighbours Leasedrive here at our head office since they moved into their hi-tech headquarters in 2004, so it seemed only natural that when we considered rolling out a salary sacrifice car scheme, we should turn to them and tap into their expertise in this area.
“We do not operate a company car scheme and the introduction of this Mycar salary sacrifice scheme, following an educational road show, should encourage many of our cash for car takers to enjoy, if they wish, a more fuel efficient, low CO2 emitting, fully serviced and maintained new car at a fixed budgeted monthly cost backed by comprehensive insurance. The Mycar website will also reduce our own central administration.”
Dave McDonna, business development manager at Leasedrive, said: “TRL was won over by our experience in the field of car salary sacrifice scheme provision and impressed with the ease of use of the Mycar website.
“The web quoting system allows eligible employees to look up information on thousands of cars, compare vehicles side-by-side, create and save quotes. Other online features then ease running a car once delivered.
“Overall, Mycar not only ensures a successful employee benefit but an enjoyable employee experience.”
Under the Mycar initiative, employees sacrifice some of their salary in exchange for a brand new vehicle which is fully serviced and maintained.
The employee saves tax and national insurance (NI) on the money sacrificed and the employer saves NI making it a very cost effective way of leasing a car for both, says Leasedrive.
