Fleet Van Summit enables Britain's fleet operators to hone their skills by learning to run their operations more safely and cost-effectively.

Trakm8 will be on site at the event to advise and demonstrate to fleet operators the many benefits of telematics being used as a fleet management tool.

Trakm8 Swift 6 has many features which give the fleet operator a better understanding of the fleet’s activity and driving conditions.

For example, if a road traffic incident or insurance claim is investigated, the route replay function within SWIFT 6 can be used. This feature reconstructs a journey within a particular timeframe using Google Street View and identifies the driving style. Using the telematics data can help avoid fraudulent or false claims against the company or driver.

Operational safety can also be improved by monitoring the driving behaviour of a fleet and providing real time in-cab feedback to promote a smoother driving style.

With reduced speeding and improved driving styles the fleet becomes safer, with accident risk and its frequency reduced. As a result, a positive effect on the general running cost of a fleet with less servicing repairs and vehicle downtime is achieved.

The new vehicle health function in SWIFT 6 can help fleets to improve efficiencies and vehicle downtime. Factors such as vehicle battery and diagnostics trouble codes are monitored with the operator alerted if the battery voltage drops below threshold or a trouble code is activated.
