Specialist motor insurer ERS has chosen The Innovation Group (TIG) to manage its repair and engineering network.
The three-year deal began at the start of February and the network will manage repairs for all vehicle types including cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles.
The decision has seen ERS consolidate its engineering panel and TIG will manage the repair authorisation process on network and non-network cases.
This will create less touch points and speed up the end-to-end process for brokers and customers.
A new ‘self-service’ capability for customers and brokers will mean they can achieve greater awareness of the status of their repair throughout the process.
In conjunction with this, customers will also receive automated updates during the course of the repair so they can plan around developments accordingly.
ERS and TIG now share a collaborative target to engage further with the broker market with an aim to establish partnerships and improve customer experience.
Peter Smith, claims director at ERS, said: “The new partnership would allow for the creation of unique claims propositions that reflect customers’ need for a bespoke claims and distribution service.
“ERS’s repair and engineering provision is the biggest contract we have and therefore it is crucial that we make the right choices in order to provide the best possible service when it matters.
