Allstar has announced a strategic approach to reward fleets charging their electric vehicle (EVs) to help fuel future growth and adoption.
It is asking charge point operators (CPOs) to recognise the significant role fleets play in using their networks, and the importance this will have as fleets increasingly move to EVs.
Fleets, it says, are one of the largest consumers of on-the-road charging and will become price-sensitive as networks increase in numbers and reliability.
It argues that CPOs should continue to support and encourage this adoption by offering enhanced networks, ultra-rapid charging, and cost-effective pricing.
To illustrate this, Allstar and BeEV are expanding their existing relationship to offer fleets using Allstar Chargepass an exclusive 10% discount for three months.
BeEV’s growing national network includes more than 700 EV charge points across more than 200 locations around the UK.
Asif Ghafoor, CEO at BeEV, said: “We’re so happy to bolster our partnership with Allstar customers to give them an exclusive discount to the UK’s 4th top-rated rapid/ultra-rapid charging network in the UK.”
He added: “Expanding our relationship with Allstar was an obvious decision to reach fleet drivers. It’s not the first time we’ve been able to work together in this way, and I’m confident it won’t be the last.”
The discount applies to BeEV’s standard price (75p/kWh for ultra-rapid charging), to become 67.5p/kWh.
Tom Rowlands, Corpay’s managing director of Global EV Solutions, said: “Fleets are under mounting pressure ahead of the 2030 ban of new ICE vehicles, not to mention the economic pressures felt universally.
“That’s why it was important for us to recognise that cost of charging is an increasingly important factor for fleets in choosing their charge points, and to support them as much as possible.”
He added: “We have a long-standing relationship with BeEV as the first charge point operator to work with Allstar in this way to bring such a benefit to customers.
“We are thrilled to enhance our partnership to provide a much-needed cost saving for customers across their network and look forward to supporting fleets in this way in the future.”
