Audi has expanded the line-up for its new A6 e-tron, which offers a range of up to 463 miles.
The electric-only model replaces the existing A6 model and becomes the latest member of Audi's e-tron line-up.
Prices for the A6 e-tron start at £62,500.
Using the brand's new Premium Platform Electric (PPE), the A6 e-tron Sportback is capable of providing a 463-mile range. The Avant version can cover up to 437 miles.
The entry-level A6 e-tron uses an 83kWh battery and a single 326PS motor that powers the rear wheels. The Sportback verson has a range of up to 382 miles and the Avant has a 361-mile range.
Sitting above the base 'e-tron' are the Performance models, which have a system output of up to 380PS and are rear-wheel drive. Using a larger 100kWh battery, the Performance models offer the longest range of the line-up at 463 miles for the Sportback and 463 miles for the Avant. The Audi A6 e-tron Performance accelerates from 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds and has a top speed of 130mph.
A6 e-tron Quattro models gain all-wheel-drive thanks the fitment of a second electric motor. Power is increased to 462PS, reducing the 0-62mph time below five seconds. The A6 Sportback e-tron Quattro can travel for up to 438 miles between charges, followed by the A6 Avant e-tron Quattro with a maximum 415-mile range.
The range-topping S6 e-tron models - priced from £97,500 - use Quattro all-wheel drive and have a system output of 503PS and up to 550PS with launch control, which enables a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds. The top speed is 149mph. The S6 e-tron Sportback has a range of 405 miles, while the S6 e-tron Avant has a range of 388 miles.
By using 800-volt technology and a maximum DC charging capacity of 270kW as standard, short charging stops are possible with the Audi A6 e-tron. This means the A6 Sportback e-tron Performance can be recharged at an appropriate charging station for a range of up to 192 miles in just 10 minutes. The State of Charge increases from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes.
Equipped with Plug & Charge, the vehicle authorises itself at compatible charging stations when the charging cable is plugged in and activates the charging process. The charging process is fully automatic. If a charging station works with 400-volt technology, the Audi A6 e-tron can use bank charging. To enable this, the 800-volt battery is split into two banks, each with a voltage of 400 volts, which can then be charged in parallel with up to 135kW. AC charging with up to 11kW is possible.
The interior of the Audi A6 e-tron features MMI panoramic display, with its curved design and OLED technology. This consists of the 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and the 14.5-inch MMI touch display. There is also a 10.9-inch MMI front passenger display,.
Customers of the A6 e-tron performance models can choose from three specifications - Sport, S line and Edition 1 - while the S6 e-tron is available exclusively with a specially tailored version of the Edition 1 package.
Sport models come with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting, keyless entry, 360-degree camera, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heat pump, a powered tailgate and noise-suppressing acoustic glazing for the windscreen and front side windows.
S line models include S Line body styling, privacy glass, S-embossed sport seats, a black headlining and a three-spoke steering wheel flattened at the top and bottom.
Edition 1 brings 21-inch wheels, Matrix LED lights, ventilated front seats, an additional touchcreen for the front passenger and a heated steering wheel.
The S6 e-tron additionally comes with air suspension, soft-close doors, a Bang and Olufsen 3D sound system and a panoramic sunroof.
