BMW has revealed its second Neue Klasse concept car, this time showcasing what its future SUV models will look like.
The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X follows the saloon car concept that was unveiled last year, hinting at the styling direction for the brand's next 3 Series.
A production-ready SUV based on the Neue Klasse architecture is expected to launch in 2025.
It will succeed the current iX3 as a rival for the new Audi Q6 e-tron.
The concept car demonstrates a spacious and airy interior with large windows and a panoramic glass roof. The car's instrument cluster has been moved to a panoramic display that runs across the top of the dashboard, beneath the windscreen.
Key to the new model's design is the integration of BMW's signature kidney grilles, but this time they take a much smaller, narrower form when compared to its current model line-up.
The Vision Neue Klasse X uses BMW's sixth-generation e-drive powertrain technology and a new type of battery, which promises 30% more range. The car also adopts 800v charging technology, improving charging times by 30%.
