Fleet decision-makers will get the first UK drives of US brand Canoo’s futuristic electric van LDV130 and Scottish electric off-road vehicle manufacturer Munro’s electric pick-up truck at this year’s Company Car in Action (CCIA).

The manufacturers are two of many confirmed for Vans in Action, which has become a key feature of CCIA and is now in its third year.

Taking place at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, on 12-13 June, the fleet test-driving event of the year offers fleet decision-makers and leasing company stakeholders the opportunity of putting dozens of full electric, plug-in hybrid and hybrid vehicles through their paces on four courses offering different terrains: Alpine hill, high speed bowl, last mile delivery circuit and off-road route.

Vans in Action is hosted by ‘electric van man’ Paul Kirby and sponsored by Geotab. This year's feature promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

More than 20 vans will be available to see and drive from brands including Nissan, Stellantis, Canoo (LDV130 pictured), Munro, Northside (bringing Maxus, Mercedes-Benz) Iveco, MEV and convertor/bodybuilder TGS.

Kirby, director of EV Essentials, said: “Vans are key to the decarbonisation of transport and once again Vans in Action brings together a collection of the leading-edge vans that are available today and also offers an amazing glimpse into the future with new companies to market like Canoo and Munro bringing first drive opportunities.

“The other element that is key to the transition is the data that gives us insight to make the transition, and we excited to have GEOTAB supporting that side of things!”

This year’s Company Car in Action will feature a host of exclusive first drives for fleet decision-makers, including the Omoda 5 SUV, the first UK car from the Chery-owned Chinese new entrant. Nissan will unveil its full-electric Interstar van at the event.

Other car models confirmed include the all-new Peugeot E 3008 and 208, the Fiat 600, the Alfa Romeo Junior, Masertai Grecale Folgore, the all-new Suzuki Swift, BMWs iX2 eDrive 20 and i5 Sport Edition.

Many brands are still finalising details and will announce them soon - keep an eye on the Fleet News website for details.
