The new Fleet News website will go live this afternoon offering the fleet sector a greatly improved experience, with new sections, more insight and advice, plus videos, webinars and podcasts, reflecting the growth in our digital capability.
It marks the end of an intense six-month process to merge the Fleet News and Commercial Fleet websites to create a single source of insight and news for a combined-asset audience with shared needs across cars, vans, trucks and, for the first time, micro-mobility, motorcycles, eCargo bikes and e-scooters.
Please note that a small number of areas of the site will not function, such as login and user registration as the final tweaks and finetuning take place, as well as the migration of the best content from Commercial Fleet into the expanded Fleet News website.
But come this afternoon to familiarise yourself with your new website.
As the go-to destination for fleet decision-makers, the new website offers better functionality, a clearer layout and more logical navigation that puts the focus on the topics of most importance to fleet decision-makers and the wider fleet sector.
And, of course, it comes from the most knowledgeable and skilled editorial team in fleet, with news editor Gareth Roberts, features editor Andrew Ryan and senior content writer Matt de Prez producing all the news, insight and analysis you need.
Following the closure of the Fleet News print magazine in March 2023, we undertook extensive quantitative and qualitative work with fleet decision-makers to identify the most essential subjects.
As a result, the navigation sections focus on news, efficient fleet, safety & compliance, electric fleet and vehicles, as well as tools and our sector-leading events portfolio.
An exciting addition to the site is a fleet leadership section where we recognise the importance of the fleet role in business strategy and policy.
Here you will find insight into staff leadership, fleet strategy, mobility strategy and leasing strategy as well as our much-loved fleet profiles which give you unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to the strategies and initiatives of your peers.
The Fleet News website has unrivalled reach into the fleet sector, regularly achieving a 90%-plus share of fleet traffic. So far this year, monthly viewership is averaging more than 350,000 users per month in the UK (417,000 globally), up 12% on the same period in 2022.
Even more impressively, over the five months since the closure of print, the UK average has surged to 370,000 users per month.
The Fleet News website is complemented by a series of digital special reports which focus on key topics of greatest importance to fleet decision-makers.
This year, we have published reports on fleet electrification, choosing the right supplier and, most recently, leadership in fleet.
Still to come in the final quarter is our second Electric Fleet report of the year (October 12), the FN50 contract hire and leasing report (November 1) and our research into the most recommended suppliers in fleet (December 6).
