FMG Repair Services has introduced ADAS recalibration equipment to all of its UK bodyshops as it strives to reduce vehicle repair times.

The accident repair specialist has already upgraded its mobile repair vans to include ADAS technology.

The new on-site technology, provided through a partnership with calibration specialist Repairify, aims to streamline repair cycle times by reducing the need for third-party service providers to perform ADAS recalibration following vehicle repairs.

ADAS recalibrations are crucial to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and fully recalibrated following repair by resetting all sensors and cameras, ensuring correct functionality within safety parameters to exacting tolerances.

Paul Wrigglesworth, managing director at FMG Repair Services, said: "We are continually searching for new and innovative ways to deliver quicker vehicle repair solutions.

“By investing in our own ADAS equipment, we can take full control of the entire repair process on site and remove potential delays from the repair life cycle.

“We continue to invest heavily in ensuring our bodyshops possess the expertise and equipment to repair modern vehicles to the highest standards.

“By installing the latest ADAS technology across our full estate, we are enhancing our customers experience, making vehicle repairs faster and more seamless.”

MET Technicians have attended the company’s technical training centre to receive in-house training on the new equipment in order to achieve the IMI AOM 230 accreditation to safely complete ADAS repair jobs.
