Kwik-Fit has donated £10,000 to Motability's Charitable Grants Fund.

Kwik-Fit CEO Ken Murai presented national disability charity Motability with a cheque for £10,000. He also handed Motability customer Bryany Munns, from Harlow, the keys to her new vehicle that she leases through the Motability Scheme.

Kwik-Fit has been supporting Motability’s Charitable Grants Fund since 1994, and as part of a new affinity fundraising partnership, friends and family of Motability Scheme customers will be able to access a discount on their car service, their combined MOT and service and free mobile tyre fitting. In addition, Motability will receive a commission payment for each of these services purchased.

Kwik-Fit CEO Ken Murai said: “On behalf of Kwik-Fit I am pleased to be able to handover this vehicle to help provide Bryany and her family with the opportunity to have greater mobility and independence in their everyday lives. Kwik-Fit also look forward to ensuring that the tyres on Bryany’s and all other Motability Scheme users vehicles are maintained in excellent condition.”

Hazel Gotfraind, fundraising and marketing director for Motability, also attended the presentation. She added: “We are extremely grateful to Kwik-Fit for their continued support, which will benefit disabled people and their families across the UK. Their generous donation will support Scheme customers who cannot afford the right car or adaptations for their needs, or to help disabled people with driving lessons.”

Motability’s charitable work relies on voluntary income and aims to raise around £2.8 million each year to help customers who would otherwise be unable to afford the mobility solution they need.

Kwik-Fit supplies all Motability Scheme cars with new tyres.
