Fleetcor UK has announced it has strengthened and expanded its sales team, with a number of key senior appointments.
The company, which operates Allstar, Keyfuels and The Fuel Card Company in the UK, has made the appointments to drive growth for the business and enhance the service Fleetcor UK provides to both its existing and potential customers.
Appointed to lead the sales operation is Tony Murtagh. Prior to joining Fleetcor UK, Tony worked at Lloyds Bank and Lex Autolease for more than 17 years, where he held a number of director and sales leadership roles.
Stuart Miles, who worked with Murtagh at Lex and has also held senior positions at Leaseplan, has been appointed as Fleetcor’s new sales director for its partner and corporate business.
Finally, after heading up the sales operation at CMS Supatrak for the last three years, Alex Harper has also returned to Fleetcor UK as head of corporate sales, having previously spent 20 years as sales and marketing director at Keyfuels.
In addition to these three senior appointments, the company has also invested in expanding its sales force by almost 50% this year.
The business now has a team of over 90 sales people, aimed at improving its service offering across its brands and with Fleetcor partner and corporate customers.
Peter Bridgen, managing director at Fleetcor UK, said: “We have gone through a major transition and investment programme over the last few years to fully integrate the Allstar, Keyfuels and The Fuel Card Company brands into Fleetcor UK.
“The result of this investment has seen some really exciting new product and service developments recently, like the launch of the Allstar One Card, Keyfuels’ ControlMax solution, plus new services like SMR and the relationships we have developed with market leading service providers like the AA, National Windscreens and the M6toll for instance.
“Restructuring and expanding the sales force has been another critical factor in helping to drive the business forward.
“Tony, Stuart and Alex all bring a wealth of experience and expert knowledge of the fuel card, fuel management and fleet markets to their roles.
“I am delighted they have joined the business and I wish them, and their teams, every success for the future.”
